In the opening match of the boys’ U-16 category during the St Xavier’s Six-a-Side Football Championship, St Anne’s School, Sector 32, beat Mount Carmel School, Sector 47, 3-0.

For the winning side, Armaan opened the account in the fifth minute while Pranav added a brace in the 17th and 27th minute to win the match.

In the next match, St. Joseph’s School, Sector 44, defeated AKSIPS-41 5-0 with Amritpal scoring all five goals in the 7th,9th ,17th, 20th and 30th minute.

In the third match, Shishu Niketan School, Sector 22, got better of Chitkara International School, Sector 25, 3-0. Yash (25th minute), Chirag (34th minute) and Rajvir (37th minute) scored a goal each.

St Kabir School, Sector 26, outclassed Doon International, Mohali, 4-0 with Arjit scoring an hat-trick (13th ,19th and 36th minute) and Anish Dhingra adding a goal in the 39th minute.

Hosts St. Xavier`s School defeated AKSIPS -45 3-0 with Montri scoring two goals in the 15th and 25th minute and Abhinav scoring in the 28th minute.

In the boys’ U-11 event, St. Xavier`s, Mohali, defeated St Joseph’ School 2-0. Shivan scored both goals in the 8th and 11th minute while Kids R Kids outclassed Mount Carmel School, Sector 47, 7-0.

Anshul and Piyush starred in their team’s win after scoring four and three goals, respectively. In last three matches, DAV School, Sector 39, beat Shishu Niketan School, Sector 22, 3-0, Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26, defeated Chitkara International School, Sector 25, by a solitary goal and St Kabir School defeated St Xavier’s, Mohali, 2-0.
