Chandigarh, October 20
The government will develop Gurgaon as a smart city at its own level. While a special purpose vehicle (SPV) has been set up to develop Faridabad as a smart city, consultants are being appointed for the purpose in Gurgaon.
This was revealed at a meeting Chief Secretary DS Dhesi had with British Deputy High Commissioner David Lelliott, who had called on Dhesi to invite him for an interactive session on ‘Infrastructure and Urban Development’ in Chandigarh tomorrow . Lelliott was leading a delegation of UK Urban Infrastructure.
It was also informed that Faridabad would be developed in the PPP mode. — TNS
