Shimla: The PM laid the foundation stone of Hydro Engineering College at Bilaspur through video conferencing at Jubbarhatti airport.



Shimla: The PM laid the foundation stone of Hydro Engineering College at Bilaspur through video conferencing at Jubbarhatti airport. He said the college would help in providing specially trained manpower for the hydropower sector which had vast potential. It was a unique fusion of air power and water power, he said. The college is being set up at a cost of   Rs 146 crore out of which Rs 75 crore is being contributed by the NHPC and NTPC. The state government has provided land measuring 12.40 acres in MuhaI Bandla, BiIaspur, for the college. The college will offer B.Tech courses in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering and computer science with an intake capacity of 60 students in each course. — TNS
