Yoga guru Ramdev’s Patanjali Yogpeeth will hold one lakh classes across the country on the occasion of International Yoga Day on June 21. Special focus will be on rural and semi-urban areas for which Ramdev has given special directives to office-bearers of the Patanjali Yogpeeth and the Bharat Swabhiman Trust.
Bharat Swabhiman Trust coordinator Dr Jaydeep Arya said Swami Ramdev wanted maximum participation from rural segments this time where very few people knew about the International Yoga Day. People in urban areas got such information easily through media. He said maximum number of yoga classes and events will be held in rural segments for which divisional in-charges of the Bharat Swabhiman Trust, yoga teachers and students of the Patanjali Yogpeeth had been given responsibilities.
“Yoga yatra on June 21 will cover at least one lakh villages. Through this drive, teachers, students and volunteers will impart yoga awareness and training to villagers,” said Dr Jaydeep.
Trainers and experts are being briefed about the yoga yatra and events related to the International Yoga Day by Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishan, general secretary of Patanajli Yogpeeth.
