Elaborate security arrangements have been made for safekeeping ballot boxes in strongrooms in the 13 districts of the state till the day of counting on March 11.
“These strongrooms will be under constant watch of a three-tier security system,” said Deepam Seth, IGP, Law and Order, while briefing mediapersons here today.
The elaborate three-tier security system will consist of immediate security cover by two platoons of the CRPF, second-tier under the PAC with eight constables, and the third-tier comprising the district police under a sub-inspector. The entire security details will be complied in the logbook. Besides as a third eye measure, all strongrooms will be under the constant vigil of CCTV cameras and videography will be done.
