While the candidates found the paper to be easy, they complained that it was lengthy and time consuming.

Anita, another candidate from Yamunanagar, Haryana, termed the paper to be easy while Ankit from Jind in Haryana, too, found it to be simple yet time consuming.

“The exam was not tough but the paper II was time consuming,” said Mehak, a candidate from Ambala city, Haryana.

The examination was held in two phases — Paper I of general studies from 9.30 am to 11.30 am and Paper II of CSAT from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm.

UPSC exam expert Kunal Singh said: “There was a shift in the pattern of questions asked in general studies paper.”
