Jammu, January 13

J&K Bank organised a ‘Digi dhan’ and cashless business awareness camp at the University of Jammu with an aim to promote awareness among students about cashless transactions here today.

Arrangements were made by the bank for on-the-spot opening of accounts, issuance of debit cards, credit cards, registration for mobile and e-banking services besides providing orientation and training for using digital channels for making day-to-day purchases.

Vice-president and zonal head, Jammu (central), Arvind Gupta said, “We are motivating people to understand and perform cashless transactions. Generally, people think you can make only high-value transactions without cash but what we are trying to do is tell them that you can go cashless and buy everyday necessities.” — TNS
