Ludhiana, March 13
Recounting her experiences about participating in a dance reality show for mothers ‘DID Super Moms’ on Zee TV, 35-year-old Mithu Chowdhury from Kolkata said after her participation in the dance show at the age of 34, she had realised that it was never too late to rediscover one’s passion about anything.
She said she was a housewife, who had learnt dance as a child, but her passion for dance never translated into a performance on stage as she had never participated in any competition.
She was in the city for the promotion of the next season of the reality show.
“Not in my wildest of dreams I had thought of making it among the top contestants in the dance reality show, let alone dreaming about winning the competition,” she said.
But after participation, she has realised that miracles do happen, and there is immense potential in women quietly raising their children and often overlooking their talent and dreams, she added.
Everyone should grab the opportunities that come in one’s way, she said. Speaking about the next season of the dance reality show, she said actor Govinda would join Geeta Kapur and Terrence Lewis on the judge’s panel for the next season.
“Despite learning a classical dance form, I had never performed on stage. My husband encouraged me for audition for its first season and it was only because of him that I gave it a shot. The rest is history. I saw myself not just growing as a dancer during the course of the show but I also transformed into a more confident and outgoing person,” she added.
The new season of the reality show is going to start from March 28, she said.
“There is life after marriage and mothers proved it in the last season,” she added.
