He is playing the role of the lead actress’s daddy—Kiran Karamakar, the man who you may recall from Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki. Embarking on a new venture, a show titled Tamanna, Kiran feels that it is a show that is quite close to reality.
“Every woman has a dream, but does she see them coming true? It was this thought which inspired the director of the show. This is a story about a woman and her dreams,” shares Kiran.
He elaborates on the content of the show while stating that the journey of Dharaa (the protagonist) is set on a path to fulfil her dream of becoming a cricketer and her struggle to conquer all the hardships that come her way.
“Designed as a finite series, the show is being produced by Ajinkya Deo. The show has been on air at 10 pm from
Monday to Saturday on Star Plus,” he adds.
“Anuja Sathe plays the role of Dharaa Solanki. The show challenges the existing stereotype that a woman’s dreams come with an expiry date as it showcases how Dharaa endeavours to fulfil all the relationships in her life, as well as to retain her drive to pursue her unconventional dream.” He says.
Kiran Karamakar, who essays the role of Dhara’s father, Deepak, says, “It feels really great to be back on Star Plus. For me, the most important aspect when it comes to choosing a show is the character and storyline. My character in the show is that of a sports enthusiast, who also plays cricket and is a father of a girl who wants to play cricket. The story will shape up in quite an interesting manner and I keenly await the audience response to it.”
In a nation where cricket is worshipped almost like a religion, Tamanna will present a unique tale. The story is set in the aesthetically rich cities of Jamnagar, Meerut and Mumbai with a stellar cast that includes veteran actors, including Ketki Dave, Harsh Chhaya, RajLaxmiand Vishal Gandhi as part of the series.
