Vietnam Ambassador seeks yoga tips

Vietnam Ambassador Tonh Sin Thanh sought yoga tips from noted yoga guru Swami Chidanand Muni Saraswati on his one-day visit to Uttarakhand today.

The Vietnam Ambassador also attended the holy Ganga aarti in the evening at Parmarth Niketan, Swargashram, in Pauri district.

Swami Chidanand told Thanh about the impact of various yoga asanas and the need to implement it in Vietnam schools.

Ambassador Thanh also gave suggestions on measures to sanitation and environment conservation.

“It’s a great feeling to take part in yoga sessions. Yoga provides mental and physical bliss. Now, I know why Ganga is regarded as the mother and deity in Indian civilisation,” the Ambassador said.

He held talks with Sadhvai Bhagwati about the initiatives being carried by Parmarth Niketan Ashram.

Thanh said both India and Vietnam expect to up their trade by $200 billion by 2020, which is currently in $80-100 billion bracket.

He said the traditional friendship and mutual cooperation between the two countries had got stronger, since the strategic partnership agreement signed by the two countries in 2007.
