Dehradun, June 9

Members oa the BJP Panchayati Raj Cell staged a Suraj Andolan in Dehradun today.

Digambar Singh Negi, state president of the BJP Panchayati Raj Cell, who led the protesters, said villages of the state had been completely devoid of development under the Harish Rawat government. He added villages in hill areas were witnessing constant migration and there was no government policy to stop it and provide livelihood opportunities to villagers.

Kuldeep Gupta, Jitendra Saini, Jai Bhagwan and Dinesh Singh took part in the protest. — TNS
