Weapon suppliers to gangsters arrested

The Amritsar Rural police today nabbed notorious criminal Rashpal Singh alias Dulla and two others who would supply arms to the Prem Singh Loharia gang that shot dead gangster Sukha Kahlon on January 21 while he was being taken back to jail after a court hearing in Phagwara.
Besides Dulla, Kuldeep Singh of Bhai Ladhu village (Bhikhiwind) and Bikramjit Sigh alias Tunda of Bhuchar Kalan village were arrested in the vicinity of the Bhindi Saida police station. The police confiscated around 600 gm of some narcotic powder, a pistol, a rifle and two cellphones with Pakistani SIM cards.
Jasdeep Singh, SSP, said Rashpal and his accomplices would procure countrymade weapon from MP and Western UP sell these to gangsters. Preliminary probe had revealed that they had supplied two weapons to the Loharia gang that were used in the Sukha’s murder. — TNS
