Isha Kamboj of the district has cracked the Haryana Civil Services (HCS), the results of which were declared by the Haryana Public Service Commission on Friday.

She has been selected for the HCS (Executive branch) under the Backward Class category in her first attempt.

She had also cracked the Civil Services this year. Her father Pritam Kamboj said she was selected for the Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS), but later her rank improved and she was selected for the Indian Revenue Services.

He said she had been undergoing training at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie (Uttarakhand). He said Isha would prefer to join the HCS as she wanted to serve her home state.

Rohtak girl makes it to HCS

Rohtak-based Belina (23), daughter of a boxing coach Ravinder Singh Rana, has cracked the Haryana Civil Services. Belina, a graduate from Delhi University, had an excellent track record, said her cousin Amit Rana, a member of the Bar Council of India.

Belina passed her Class X from Model School, Rohtak, with 93 per cent and XII from DPS, RK Puram, Delhi, with 92 per cent, he said.

Her father is a boxing coach in MD University, Rohtak.

Belina said her grandmother Vidya Devi wanted to see her as an officer, but she died a few days ago. — Chandigarh TNS
