Youth booked on rape charge

A youth of Bhainswal Kalan village allegedly raped a girl of the same village on the intervening night of December 29 and 30. On the victim’s complaint, a case has been registered against the accused, Ankit (29). His aunt has also been booked for allegedly conspiring in the case.

In her complaint to the police, the girl alleged that Ankit’s aunt took her to Gohana on December 29 and left her with the accused who took her to Rohtak and raped her. She said she managed to escape on December 30 and reported the matter to her family.

The police said a case has been registered and victim’s statement was recorded before the magistrate.
