Chandigarh: Former Canadian MP Ruby Dhalla has launched a special campaign to help the poor and underprivileged girls by organising mass marriages. The NRI politician from Punjab, who was the first Sikh woman to be elected MP in Canada in 2004, launched the campaign in New Delhi on Monday by holding marriages of 13 couples from different communities. The couples were married according to their faiths in a mass ceremony. — TNS
