Ravinder Singh Ginny Dhillon was elected unopposed as the district president of the Patiala BJP (Rural), third time in a row, today.
Dhillon has assured that he would work to strengthen the party in the district. He would work at the grassroots level with the workers to ensure that every worker feels connected with the party top brass.
Addressing a press conference, member of the National Central Committee BJP Manjit Singh Rai announced Dhillon’s election to the post.
He said eight candidates had filed papers for the post of the district rural president. Later, seven of them withdrew their papers, following which Dhillon was elected unopposed.
Dhillon said the rural belt had 713 booths and he would ensure that the youngsters, women and senior residents feel connected with the party ideology. “We will start a drive to reach all people in these booths,” he said.
