GNDU to honour two with doctorate

AMRITSAR: Guru Nanak Dev University will honour eminent sports personality, Raja Randhir Singh, life vice-president, Indian Olympic Association and Gurtej Singh Sandhu, senior fellow and director, Micron Technology Inc.

Guru Nanak Dev University will honour eminent sports personality, Raja Randhir Singh, life vice-president, Indian Olympic Association and Gurtej Singh Sandhu, senior fellow and director, Micron Technology Inc., with degree honoris causa at its golden jubilee annual convocation. They will be honoured in the faculty of sports medicine and physiotherapy and in faculty of sciences, respectively. This will be the 45th annual convocation of the university.

Prof Karanjeet Singh Kahlon, registrar, said, “Chief Minister Amarinder Singh will be chief guest on the occasion”. He said the event would be held on July 19 in the Golden Jubilee Dashmesh Auditorium. — TNS
