To improve power supply system in Gandhi Nagar around 14,000 electricity poles will be installed in the constituency. This was announced by Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and MLA from Gandhi Nagar Kavinder Gupta.
The Speaker said Rs 3 crore would be spent on the construction of lanes and drains in the Gandhi Nagar constituency to improve sanitation. He sought public cooperation for implementing the developmental and welfare programmes launched by the Central and state governments.
Gupta was apprised of the problems and demands of the residents, which included repair and renovation of roads, lane and drains, besides augmenting water and power supply. The locals also projected their demand of early replacement of old electricity poles and wires.
The Speaker said the coalition government had initiated massive developmental programme with an aim to uplift the living standard of the people.
