The district health authorities have served notices on five doctors at a Narnaul-based private nursing home in connection with the death of a newborn child a month ago. They have been directed to present themselves before an inquiry panel comprising — Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr Ashok Kumar, Dr Ashwani Rohila and Dr Arun Kalra — on September 14.
Dr Ashok Kumar, Deputy Civil Surgeon, said the doctors had been asked to present the record pertaining to the admission of the patient, treatment and discharge details before the inquiry panel on September 14.
Pritam, a resident of Mohalla Peer Aaga in Narnaul, had filed a complaint at the CM Window alleging the newborn died due to medical negligence.
He said, “My wife was admitted to a private hospital in Narnaul on July 26. Doctors performed medical tests and she was discharged. However, her condition kept deteriorating. I took my wife to another private hospital where she delivered a pre-mature baby.”
Pritam said he took his wife and the newborn to Government Hospital in Jaipur, Rajasthan, where doctors declared the baby as brought dead.
