Mahendragarh, June 29
The district administration has decided to hold a special ‘darbar’ to listen to the grievances of ex-servicemen, kin of martyrs and serving Army personnel once a week.
“The administration will also install boards depicting details of martyrs at the Municipal Council/ Committee (MC) offices in urban areas and at the BDO’’s office in the rural areas,” said Sanjeev Verma, DC.
The DC said families of 550 martyrs, 40,000 ex-servicemen and serving Army personnel resided in Mahendragarh.
Patwari suspended
The DC said the plan had been executed with the first special ‘darbar’ at Panchayat Bhawan in Narnaul. As many as 84 complaints placed by ex-servicemen and kin of martyrs and serving Army men were resolved on the spot. He said a patwari was also suspended for delaying the entry of an ex-serviceman’s land in the revenue record.
