In a first, the Punjab Subordinate Service Selection Board (PSSSB) will declare the result of the qualifying computer typing test in English and Punjabi on the same day.
The computer typing test will be conducted online from May 23 for 2,664 posts of clerk and clerk-cum- data entry operator.
Over 80,000 candidates will appear in the test over a month.
An online mock test will be held on the PSSSB website on May 20 and 21.
Every candidate will have to type two paragraphs of 300 words each in Punjabi and English at a minimum speed of 30 words per minute. The candidate who types less than 300 words each in the allotted time (10 minutes) will be rejected.
Talking to The Tribune here today, Jatinder Kalra, a PSSSB member, said the result (pass or fail) would appear on the computer screen before the examinees at the test centre, to be set up in Mohali.
He added that the login details, such as user name and password, would be intimated to the candidates at the test centre.
