Dera Bassi, August 23
To provide efficient and transparent governance to people at their doorsteps, NK Sharma, MLA, Dera Bassi constituency, along with Shiv Kumar, SDM, today inaugurated two sewa kendras at the Tehsil Complex and Issapur village, Dera Bassi, respectively.
“This is a step towards ensuring governance reforms in the state. These centres would act as a catalyst to help people in getting their routine administrative works done in a speedy manner,” Sharma said while addressing people during the inauguration of a sewa kendra.
He said so far, 34 sewa kendras had been opened in the Dera Bassi sub-division. This step of the government would prove beneficial for people as from now onwards they would be able to get benefits of public services without any delay.
These kendras would minimise public interaction with various offices and enhance efficiency of the administration and delivery of services to common people, the MLA said.
Sharma said the kendras would be a one-stop shop to avail the entire gamut of citizen-centric services of all departments under one roof. The basic services include providing birth and death certificates, marriage certificates, banking services, etc.
He urged people to take maximum benefits from these kendras.
While replying to a query, the MLA said: “Rival parties are just doing vote bank politics. In reality, the state has witnessed a huge development in power, education, administrative reforms, roads and infrastructure sectors in the past nine years at grass-roots level.”
