Entry timing for Paltan Bazaar relaxed
Dehradun, October 15
Dehradun SSP Sadanand Datte at a meeting with Paltan Bazaar Association members here today decided to relax no entry timing for Paltan Bazaar by two more hours.
He said the police would give the shopkeepers every possible help so that their business were not disturbed during the ongoing festival season. However, no vehicle would be allowed to enter Paltan Bazaar from 4 pm to 8 pm, he added.
Datte said strict action would be taken against shopkeepers who encroach upon pavements or roads.
The shopkeepers’ delegation assured the SSP of all cooperation in maintaining law and order and overcome problem of traffic congestion in the city. The SSP said the police was finding another parking lot near Paltan Bazaar and other markets so that customers did not face inconvenience during the festival season. — TNS
