Kumar Amit assumes charge as Patiala DC

Patiala, March 17

Kumar Amit, a 2010 batch IAS officer, assumed the charge as Deputy Commissioner (DC) Patiala at the Mini-Secretariat here today. Previous DC, Ramvir Singh, has been transferred to Firozpur district. Before joining as Patiala DC, Kumar Amit was posted as Additional Principal Secretary to the Punjab Chief Minister (CM).

After assuming charge, Kumar said “He will always ensure to pay heed to public grievances and issues on priority basis so that such issues could be sorted out well in time. 

He said timely and speedy resolution of public grievances, expeditious processing of revenue cases and timely execution of development projects would remain his top priority.
