Pay property tax on Sept 25, 26 too

Despite September 25 and 26 being holidays, the Municipal Corporation (MC) here has decided to accept the payment of property tax on both days to enable residents to avail themselves of 10 per cent rebate offered by the government.

MC Commissioner Uma Shankar Gupta said the office of the civic body would remain open on both days from 9 am to 4 pm. He appealed to residents to deposit their property tax during the two days to get 10 per cent rebate.

The last date to avail of the rebate on property tax is September 30.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
