Jammu, June 30
In compliance to the provisions of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) order, agreements in respect of 1,500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydropower Station, Jhakri, Shimla district, in Himachal Pradesh, was signed between Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Central Transmission utility, and SJVN Limited here today.
The agreements were signed by SK Sharma, executive director, Northern Region-II, on the behalf of Power Grid and Romesh Kapoor, general manager (C&SO), on behalf of SJVNL, in presence of senior executives from both organisations.
The generating companies for those generating stations commissioned prior to January 2010, have to sign the connection agreement with Power Grid. — TNS
