Reddy assumes office of Home Guards DG

S Gopal Reddy took over the charge of DG and Commandant General of Home Guards, Civil Defence and SDRF at Home Guards headquarters here today.
Reddy, a 1985-batch IPS officer, was on deputation to Telengana and was posted as Controller, Legal Metrology Department. Reddy has served the state in various capacities, including DSP, DAR, Rajouri, SDPO, Bhaderwah, ASP, Crime, Jammu, ASP, Traffic (Rural), Jammu, SP, Budgam, SP, Kargil, DIG, Vigilance, Director, Police Telecommunication, J&K, DIG, AP, Jammu, Commissioner, Civil & Military Liaison, J&K, IGP Vigilance, IGP/ADGP, Home Guards/Civil Defence & SDRF.
Reddy during his service has been awarded the prestigious President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and Police Medal for Meritorious Service, Sher-i-Kashmir Police Medal for Meritorious Service and DGP Medal.
