The state government has appointed Reena Kaushal Dharamshaktu as officer on special duty (OSD) for the upcoming Pandit Nain Singh Mountaineering Institute at Munsiyari, which was recently announced by Chief Minister Harish Rawat.

A copy of the letter sent by Shailash Bagauli, Secretary with the state government, has been received by the district administration.

Former Dharchula MLA Harish Dhami said the state government had sanctioned Rs 15 crore for the institute, which would start functioning from February 2016.

“The appointment has been made to speed up work on the institute,” said Dhami.
