Haryana has become the first state to introduce a self-certification scheme for the electrical installations up to 33 kV. An official spokesman said self-certification had been introduced to avoid consumer visits to the electricity office.
Previously, all existing and new electrical installations were required to be inspected by Chief Electrical Inspector or engineers of the state discoms before being issued a self-certification report. — TNS
