Services restored at Dharampur bus stand

DC Sandeep Kadam said transport facilities had started at Dharampur bus stand. Heavy rainfall had submerged the bus stand and damaged nearly 12 buses last Saturday.

The DC said the administration was making every effort to provide relief to the people affected. He said Rs 25 lakh had been disbursed among the affected families. The SDM, Naib Tehsildar, Block Development Officer, and officials of other departments were visiting the affected areas to assess losses.

He said 350 tarpaulins, 64 blankets, eight cooking gas connections, clothes, 50 sets of utensils had been distributed, he said. Efforts were on to restore transport facilities in the area and 36 roads had been opened to traffic and 28 roads would be restored by August 17.

He said power and water supplies had been restored in most villages.
