Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohit Chawla today inspected the building of the new women’s police station here. Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh will inaugurate the police station on February 18.

It will be the third women police station in the state after Shimla and Dharamsala and Ati Devi will be its first Station House Officer (SHO).

A total of 21 police personnel, including five men, in the rank of sub-inspectors, head constables and constables will be posted at the police station, the SP had stated.

The police station will house a counselling centre and cases of domestic violence from the areas of Sadar, Balh and Aut police stations will be registered here.

A CCTV camera will also be installed at the reporting room of the police station.
