SSP discusses security for Holi festival

Rajouri, February 22

Ahead of the traditional ‘bhairon jhankis’ taken out by Hindu youth on the occasion of Holi, Mohd Suleman Choudhry, SSP, Rajouri, convened a security/crime-review meeting at Police Lines here today.

Besides SHOs of all police stations, the meeting was also attended by Mohd Younis, SSP, HQ; Jaswant Singh, Deputy SP, HQ; Nawaz Ahmed, Iftkhar Talib, Zakir Saheen Mirza, SDPOs of Nowshera, Thanamandi and Manjakot, respectively, along with other senior officers.

“Threadbare discussions on all the important aspects of policing, including planning and strengthening of the infiltration grid, took place in the meeting,” said a senior police officer.

He said the other important issue which was discussed in the meeting was the effective security measures for the Holi, especially for ‘bhairon jhankis.’
