Chandigarh, July 27
The government has suspended three officers for dereliction of duty, resulting in the death of 20 animals in Jind’s Nidana village. Those suspended are Ranjit Singh Malik, Sub-Divisional Officer, Jind; Dr Rajinder Singh Thind, Veterinary Surgeon of Government Veterinary Hospital; and Bijender Singh, Veterinary Livestock Development Assistant (VLDA).
Meanwhile, SDO Dr Ravinder Narwal has been given the additional charge of Deputy Director-cum- SDO, Jind, in the place of Dr Malik. The charge of Government Veterinary Hospital, Nidana, has been entrusted to Dr Rajbir Chahal, Veterinary Surgeon, Sindhwi Khera.
Compensate families: MLA
Jind: INLD MLA Parminder Singh Dhul today sought compensation for the families whose buffaloes died due to a mysterious disease. He also met the aggrieved families in Nidana village.
