The track to tourist destination Triund near McLeodganj will be under e-surveillance system and also be improved so that more tourists can be attracted to the site.
Urban Development Minister Sudheer Sharma said this here on Friday. He said apart from developing towns and cities of the state, the department had also initiated the process to improve road network in Housing Board colonies that were reportedly in bad condition.
He said the Asian Development Bank had sanctioned Rs 38 crore for the facelift of Dharamsala town. He said state government had sanctioned sufficient funds for the improvement of urban areas and cement pavers had been fixed in most of the streets and inroads of most of the towns.
Sudheer said it was the foresight of the Chief Minister that the state was experiencing all-round development barring religion and regional discrimination that was prevailing in the BJP regime. He said it was unfortunate that Opposition leaders were opposing the new Sports Bill for their personal reasons.
He said the state government had given equal funds to all Local Urban Bodies without any discrimination.
He said he had received some complaints regarding the misappropriations of funds and strict action would be initiated against the guilty.
He said more funds could be given to the urban bodies if some proposals along with demands were submitted to the department.
He said it was in his notice that some of the roads in the city were in deplorable condition. The minister said it was the responsibility of the authorities to improve the condition of damaged roads and if there were any constrains they should bring it to the knowledge of the department.
