Dharamsala, December 9

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur in a statement issued in the house flayed the Opposition for staging a walkout.

“It was the first day of the session and we were expecting that discussion will be held on important issues of public relevance. It was unfortunate that the Opposition is behaving in an irresponsible manner”, the CM said.

He said that every government works differently. While some work with a vision while others show no will or intent for the development of the state.

“The Congress has always considered the power as a thing of luxury,” he alleged.

The Chief Minister said the government was ready for any discussion and answer any query but under the rules.

He said Himachal was not the only state to organize Investors Meet. Many Congress-ruled states like Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh also held such events.

“They are alleging a scam in the Investors Meet held in Himachal because they did such things when in power,” the CM alleged.

Jai Ram Thakur said he strongly opposed the language used by the Leader of Opposition.

The Opposition is raising questions on Investors Meet because they failed to do it during their stint in power. The person who is raising hue and cry had toured across India to woo investors but not a single investor came to the state, said Thakur.

He said that Congress failed to bring investment because everything was done without a vision.

“We spent a year on planning and studying business models of various states make changes in ease of doing business”, said the Chief Minister.
