Grace period goes for depositing PF dues

The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has withdrawn the five-day grace period for depositing dues, said Mohammad Shariq, Regional Commissioner, Karnal .

He said the employer would have to deposit their contribution with the EPFO by the 15th of every month with effect from February . Dues for the month of January were to be paid by February 15.

He said the EPFO had made Internet banking mandatory for the employers to deposit their PF contributions in consonance with the Union government’s e-governance initiative. “Any employer can submit the dues just by a click of the mouse by 11:59 pm on the 14th of every month,” he said.
