Gurbakhash Singh takes over as chairman

Gurbakhash Singh Biza took over the charge as the chairman of Khanna Market Committee during an impressive rally held by the Shiromani Akali Dal at the Grain Market.

The rally was organised under the command of Halka in charge and former MLA Ranjit Singh Talwandi in which senior leaders, including speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal, Cabinet Minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Mandi Board chairman Ajmer Singh Lakhowal, SS Board chairman Santa Singh Umaidpuri, former MLA of Samrala Jagjivan Singh Khirnia, SADvice-president Jagdeep Singh Cheema and anumber of party workers took part.

In their address, the leaders thanked Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal for the appointment of Gurbakhash Singh Biza, who is a committed party worker since several years. Though Akali leaders of the area tried to show unity, an SGPC member and a Youth Akali Dal leader of the area along could not be spotted. Newly appointed vice-chairman Ashwani Bansal of the bharatiya Janata Party was also present.
