Dramatic sequence(s)

So, the bee was hiding at its favourite spot— bee-hind the tree, listening to its favourite band the ‘Bee’tles, when its urban cousin Wasp-the wanna-bee, happened to have spotted it. Seems like Wasp-the wanna-bee wants our bee to take the viral ‘Mannequin challenge’ and visit the nearest shopping mall! “Well, all you have to do is to pose as mannequins in dramatic postures,” says Wasp-the wanna-bee.
Now, a look at the photograph of bee posing like a mannequin and it can only be captioned in one word—Zom‘bee’! And quite contrary to what the bee looks like, many celebrities who took the challenge look absolutely ravishing. Take the members of Destiny’s Child — Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams — for example. They posted their own Mannequin Challenge via Rowland’s Instagram. Other celebrities like Diplo and Young Thug released their own Mannequin Challenge videos, while Rae Sremmurd re-enacted the trend at their November 3 concert. Sremmurd’s track Black Beatles has now become the unofficial anthem for the challenge!
Talking of good looks and modelling, after Pakistan’s chai-wala, a viral internet sensation, Nepal’s tarkariwali has shot to fame. The18-year-old Kusum Shrestha, of Gorkha district, was photographed carrying vegetables at a local market during her vacation. The bee would have made it to the viral list too, but it’s slightly chub‘bee’ and doesn’t quite fit into the conventional ideas of beauty.
Face the book
Bringing Facebook to book, Obama criticised how “crazy conspiracy theorizing” is spread on social networks like Facebook while speaking at a rally for Hillary Clinton at the University of Michigan on Monday. “And people, if they just repeat attacks enough, and outright lies over and over again, as long as it’s on Facebook and people can see it, as long as it’s on social media, people start believing it,” he said. “And it creates this dust cloud of nonsense.” The bee who’s stuck in Delhi is dealing with a different definition of “dust cloud of nonsense”, altogether! “I guess I am in Haze Khas, but someone told me this is Chandni Choke... switch on the GPRS someone...” it screams.
Tweet trail
If you follow Sushma Swaraj on Twitter, you would know how helpful the leader is in dealing with serious life-and-death situations. Like reuniting a couple on their honeymoon or getting the parents of Neha Agarwal Parikh, an analyst with a credit rating agency, out of Turkey, who were stuck at Istanbul for a day as her mother had misplaced her passport while returning home from their trip to Europe. So, here’s another cry for help, and this time it’s to get a friend to visit India. Trending on Twitter, ‘GetSarahToIndia’ for Purvi’s wedding is a desperate Indo-Pak BFF entreaty to MEA to get a bridesmaid from Pakistan for an Indian bride’s ‘biggest’ day that is to be held in December.
Meanwhile, the bee found a viral letter from ‘People Of Germany’ that compares Donald Trump to Hitler. A German-born US-based man, who posted a scathing letter to Twitter directly addressing Americans about GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, has gone viral on Twitter under #beentheredonethat. “That’s more like ‘bee’in there, done that!” bee thinks.
Tube tales
All right, so you are the sorts who think size and age matter? Here’s an intense drama in a nail-biting moment, this time, courtesy BBC One’s nature documentary series, Planet Earth II.
The clip, which went viral on Monday, shows how newborn marine iguana is forced to make its way past a host of eagerly-awaiting Galapagos racer snakes. “Lesson learnt: Always keep your eyes open for Bee Bee See!” laughs the bee.
