He’s got the Shakti to make you drool

Enter Vivian Dsena, and romance follows...Playing a vampire, he romanced a human; as a superstar he found love in a ‘chawl wali; currently a guy next door, he is playing a husband to a kinnar (transgender). Romancing a pillar is next for this telly star—goes the joke on the sets of Shakti — Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki!
The ‘biggest fluke on Indian telly’ by his own admission, Vivian Dsena is in love with acting and ready to do whatever it takes to entertain. Despite his successful innings on the small screen, before every shot he feels butterflies in his stomach, and this is the feeling he wants to retain.
“You are finished the day you get complacent and so is your career,” opens up the actor, soon after he landed in Chandigarh on a promotional tour.
Currently in news for his troubled marriage, he is a picture of calm as he tries to answer every question thrown at him. Starting with his television career, “While my first love is football, I was happy modelling in Mumbai when I landed at telly auditions by chance.” And, as they say the rest is history. The role of Abhay Raichand will always stay close to Vivian’s heart, “Playing a vampire is what I can do nth times.”
Soaps apart, Vivian had a stint with reality shows too but he felt like a Khatron Ka Khiladi on sets of Jhalak Dikhhla Ja. “I have never been comfortable with dancing in front of a live audience and right from the beginning I would request the channels to pre shoot the videos for the award functions, but Jhalak taught me a lot. I can now dance to save my life!”
Television has granted this Ujjain boy stardom but ‘never to take myself seriously’ is Vivian’s mantra. He loves acting that is his passion now, not able to sleep due to long shifts and promotional activities is the downer that he is happy to struggle with.
While this dashing actor makes the cut for silver screen, he is yet to sign on the dotted line. “I wouldn’t take up just another role. If I do a film it has to give me a chance to show my skill as an actor,” says Vivian who is on wait for the right script.
