Amanjit Singh Brar’s debut Punjabi film Jugni Hath Kise Na Auni is all set to hit the cinemas on Feburary 10. “This is going to be an entirely different thriller feature”, says Amanjit Singh, director of the movie.
Jugni Hath Kise Na Auni is an action thriller based on a totally new concept never seen in Punjabi cinema before. The movie highlights the unlawful and illegal activites of the present day society. Based on true incidents related to Jagdish Bhola- a drug mafia, the movie also has a strong message attached to it.
The director and actors of the film observe that “Jugni Hath Kise Na Auni”, is a must- watch family movie.
The striking part of the movie is that it features Jagdish Bhola, an alleged drug smuggler, who was involved in a controversy for drug peddling in Punjab in 2008. He was arrested again in 2015 by Punjab police for alleged participation in synthetic drug cartel of Rs. 700 crore.
According to the director, making of the film has been a wonderful experience for him as well as the cast. “The movie will be a unique one because it has a peculiar story line which makes it different from the other Punjabi movies”, said Preet Sindhu, one of the lead actors in the movie. —Kriti Thakur
