A beautiful face and an equally beautiful mind, actress Samiksha Singh gives two hoots about what the mirror says… on an everyday basis. She would rather utilise every single minute fruitfully, reading, travelling, watching some nice movies and then working on her roles. The one actress to have dabbled in Telugu, Punjabi and Tamil films is an electronic engineer, “Something that I haven’t put to use,” she smiles as she talks about things, she normally doesn’t share. The actress who starred in Kirpaan, Jatt Airways goes full blast with her side of the story…

If not an actress

This one is an obvious one, a doctor for sure.

Films I have enjoyed watching

3 Idiots and Jatt & Juliet, both the films are made so brilliantly with each actor giving their best.

A tough task so far

I have always enjoyed all my roles. But yes, I am doing some South Indian movies which involve some action sequences like Sridevi has done and it was slightly challenging for me to do those.

The dream role

I want to do a women oriented film which showcases the strength of women just like Mary Kom.

Lights, camera, action

I was very comfortable when I faced the camera for the first time in my debut film because I had already done some advertisements and modelling.

Would love to work with

I want to work with director Anurag Singh in a Punjabi movie and Raju Hirani in a Bollywood.

Take one

Pollywood should do meaningful movies with limited budgets so that the producers can make a good profit out of it. We should avoid the repetition of comedy and romantic movies. I appreciate Marathi cinema as they invest limited budget and get good profits.

Up next

I am doing a Bollywood movie and some South Indian movies as well, but can't disclose the names as of now.
