Two Punjabi films releasing the same date, what’s wrong with the Punjabi film industry? Have they become too competitive or over confident, or do we smell some kind of groupism? This week, Smeep Kang directed, Gippy Grewal starrer Lock, and Mahie Gill’s Aatishbaazi Ishq are coming face-to- face on the same date, leaving the audiences confused.

It is interesting to note that both the actors starred together in the cult comedy film Carry On Jatta, which was directed by Smeep Kang. Earlier this year, Amrinder Gill’s Love Punjab and Gippy Grewal’s Ardaas were released on the same date, but somehow both the films did exceptionally well at the box office. “I hope this happens with our films also,” Mahie Gill who is also the producer of the film keeps her fingers crossed. Mahie says she couldn’t find any other suitable date for the release of Aatishbaazi Ishq, “So, I had to release it with Lock.”

Look, who is checking the Antenna

Kulwinder Billa is one Punjabi singer who experiments the most with his looks, for all his music videos. His latest track Antenna, released by Speed Records, music by Gag Studioz and choreographed by Saurav, which has already garnered amazing views within days of its release is set up in the old times and Kulwinder plays the role of a college going youngster, with neatly parted hair and riding an old bicycle.

One more thing we bet you didn’t know was that Kulwinder uses bicycle as a must have prop in all his songs.

Shikaari ka shikaar

Jazzy B, Kaur B and Amrit Mann’s latest track Shikaar has become the most trolled Punjabi song. Any guesses why? The song that has been shot in the likes of Hollywood film Gladiator, shows the three singers dressed up as warriors. YouTube is buzzing with videos making fun of the song and its lyrics. The original lyrics of Shikaar have a line, “Sahnu baaliye ni vekh vekh ke, sikhey sheran ne shikaar karney,’ which has now become the butt of jokes with fans asking sher ta rahe nahi hun zaada, tusi kis sher di gal karde!
