What happens when the dance charmer (Prabhu Deva) makes way to the big screen, yet again...only this time to showcase his acting skills? Does he bedazzle the crowds just like he manages to do with his synchronised steps? Well, let’s see how Prabhu Deva fared on the screen, as he lighted up the big screen in the Tamannaah Bhatia, Sonu Sood and Murli Sharma-starrer Tutak Tutak Tutiya today. Over to the audience.

Average affair

I am, and have always been a huge Prabhu Deva fan. Having said that, however, I hope the actor gets back to what he is best at — dancing and does not shift his attention to facing the lens. Sadly, he did not impress with his acting skills at all.

Be careful, Sonu

Sonu Sood is a talented actor, who has been utterly wasted in the dismal project.

— Tarandeep Kaur, advocate

Family entertainer

I liked watching the film. It is a wholesome family-entertainer for sure.

Epic tale of love

Mirzya

Every time a literary genius has forged a story around a luckless pair of love birds, the tale never ceased to find its way to the deepest recesses of our hearts. Be it Shakespeare’s Romeo Juliet or Punjab’s much-loved folktale Mirza Sahiba...our hearts have gone out to each one of them. So, when Gulzar decided to translate Punjab’s epic tale of love to a film, there was bound to be an element of excitement in the air.

Did the Harshavardhan Kapoor, Saiyami Kher, Anuj Chowdhury, Art Malik, Anjali Patil, KK Raina, Om Puri- starrer kindle the magic? Let’s hear it from the watchers.

Well executed

The fact that the film is based on a folk-tale, which is loved to such a scale, is a big challenge that the team has undertaken. The challenge lies in rendering justice to the tale, and I must say, the cast and crew of Mirzya deserve showers of applause for its execution.

— Vikram Sethi, businessman

Not impressed

There is absolutely nothing gripping about the movie. I am not quite impressed.

— Simran Kaur, class 10 student, Vivek High School

Of love and chemistry

I loved the natural chemistry that the leading pair shares.

— Rahul Bhardwaj, UGC aspirant
