The Haryana Roadways has discontinued bus service from Gurugram to Panchrukhi in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, leaving hundreds of commuters in the lurch.
The Gurugram depot of the Haryana Roadways discontinued the bus service, which has been running for the past about 16 years, apparently on account of shortage of staff and revenue loss.
Satish Sharma, a regular commuter, says that the discontinuation of the bus service has put hundreds of commuters to hardship. Hundreds of commuters from Himachal Pradesh travel to the cyber hub of Haryana but in the absence of a regular bus service they are facing inconvenience.
Besides, commuters from Delhi, Mahipalpur, Dwarka and Rewari used the bus service. They have urged the Haryana Roadway authorities to restart the bus service in public interest.
