150 acres freed from illegal occupation
Sonepat, July 2
A team of the district administration, led by Sonepat SDM Nishant Yadav, yesterday got around 150 acres of agriculture land in Aterna and Dahisra villages in the Rai development block of the district freed from illegal occupation.
The team, accompanied by DSP Adarsh Deep Singh along with police force and Naib Tehsildar Krishan Yadav as duty magistrate, took the possession of the land and handed it over to the gram panchayats concerned.
According to an official spokesman, the administration acted on the direction of the local court regarding the ownership of the land and no untoward incident was reported during the exercise.—OC
