3 charred to death as car catches fire

GURUGRAM: Three friends, all residents of Palra village, were charred to death when their car caught fire near Ullahwas village in Sector 60 here last night.

Three friends, all residents of Palra village, were charred to death when their car caught fire near Ullahwas village in Sector 60 here last night.

The deceased have been identified as Devender Kumar (38), alias Billu, Gajender (38), alias Bobby, and Narender (28), alias Moosa.

The car was stationary when the CNG cylinder in the car burst. The doors of the car got locked and the trio was trapped inside.

The police said at around 9.45 pm, they got a call from a resident of Behrampur village that a Maruti Esteem car was engulfed in flames on the main road in front of the Lemon Tree hotel. Villagers saw three men burning inside. They brought a water tanker and doused the flames.

Meanwhile, the police reached the spot and the bodies were brought out of the car. The cause of fire was not confirmed yet. — TNS
