YAMUNANAGAR: Three teenagers drowned in the Western Yamuna Canal near Suni temple here on Saturday. Divers took out the body of Abhishek, one of the victims, and a search for the others was going on.

Three teenagers drowned in the Western Yamuna Canal near Suni temple here on Saturday. Divers took out the body of Abhishek, one of the victims, and a search for the others was going on.

According to information, four teenagers, Amit (15), his brother Golu (13), Sahil (16) and Abhishek (15) went to the bank of the canal to play on Saturday.

Later, Amit, Golu and Abhishek went into the canal to bathe and went missing. Sahil returned home and did not inform anyone out of fear.

The parents of the missing teenagers searched for them at several places throughout Saturday night. When they met Sahil on Sunday, he told them about the incident.

The local administration sent divers, who traced the body of Abhishek on Sunday night. The victims belonged to Azad Nagar Colony in Yamunanagar.
