The police have registered a case against three residents of Faridabad—Girish, Raunak and Girdhari Lal— under Sections 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code on the basis of a complaint lodged by Satyawan, a local resident.

Satyawan stated in his complaint that local automobile dealer Kamal Mittal, who is known to him, told him that Faridabad-based Hero Company dealers Girish Agarwal, his son Ankit Agarwal and Raunak Agarwal wanted to sell their showroom for Rs 9 crore.

Satyawan said that he agreed to purchase the showroom and a deal was struck with the Agarwals and their business manager Girdhari Lal Goel in the presence of Kamal Mittal at Rohtak. “I gave them Rs 3.75 crore in installments. However, they later refused to sell the showroom and did not return the money,” he added.
