Additional District and Sessions Judge Sunita Grover today sentenced Satish his elder brother Karambir and mother Nirmala, to seven years’ imprisonment for abetting the suicide of Satish’s wife Sunita.

They were also slapped a fine of Rs3,000 each. Sunita committed suicide at her in-laws’ house on April 9, 2016. Sunita’s brother Vikas had alleged his sister was being tortured for dowry. — OC
