Haryana residents who wish to update their Aadhaar details will be able to avail the facility at post offices across the state.
The first postal Aadhaar update centre in the Haryana postal circle was inaugurated at the General Post Office in Ambala Cantonment today.
The updating service would be made available at 15 post offices in Ambala, Yamunanagar, Panchkula, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Panipat and Jind districts this week.
The Department of Posts had entered into a tie-up with the Unique Identification Authority of India for the purpose.
“The department will provide the facility at all 504 post offices by August-end. Aadhaar enrolment will start at head post offices of Ambala, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Sonepat, Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar and Bhiwani soon,” said Jagdeep Gupta, Director, Postal Services (HQ), Haryana Circle.
